The relationships and successes of NAB AFL Auskick program continued with our region registering well over 2,000 participants - some 13% above target
Our relationships with key stakeholders in HPE teachers and our fantastic School Ambassadors went to a new high, opening the door for much school engagement. Two quality multicultural ambassadors we also found that resulted in us supporting a number of community events.
The Youth Girls competition continued to go from strength to strength in its third year, boasting two high school level competitions and 231 female club participants.
The Secondary School Youth Girls Cup was a sell out with 32 teams participating in the carnival
Hosted the Queensland U16 State Schools National Championships at Fisherman’s Road
The realignment of the SEQ senior football competitions brought a great focus and buzz to senior footy across the coast.
Mid-season Brisbane Lions visit - players attended three club venues engaging wonderfully with players and the broader community.
The Sunshine Coast region continues to be a preferred destination for the AFL clubs to undertake a preseason training with the Brisbane Lions, Greater Western Sydney, Hawthorn and Melbourne all spending time on the coast over summer 2014
