The NAB AFL Auskick program continued to show strong growth across Queensland with 27,813 children participating in over 900 centres across the state and Northern Rivers.
From a national perspective, 178,552 children played Auskick in 2014. The number of female Auskickers involved in Queensland was sensational with 7,516 girls joining a centre to represent 27% of our overall number, one of the best percentages nationally.

significant results.
HALF-TIME AUSKICK
One of the highlights each year is seeing more than 2,500 Auskickers given the opportunity to take part in the NAB AFL Auskick half-time activities at either the Gabba or Metricon Stadium. The season also saw Auskickers take part in Half-time Auskick matches at Cazaly’s Stadium (Cairns), Tony Ireland Stadium (Townsville) and Harrup Park (Mackay).
NAB
NAB continued its tremendous support of the Auskick program in 2014. One of NAB’s major competitions - the NAB AFL Auskicker of the Year - received a record number of entries across the state with more than 1,200 boys and girls choosing to take part. Queensland was lucky enough to have three of these entrants selected to attend the 2014 Toyota AFL Grand Final to take part
in the Grand Final parade and present premiership medallions to Hawthorn players.
Rick Norder from the Whitsunday Sea Eagles JAFC was selected as Queensland’s 2014 NAB AFL Auskick Volunteer of the Year. Rick, along with six other state winners, was given a money-can’t-buy experience in Melbourne during the 2014 AFL Finals series.
NAB and their staff continued to be actively engaged in sessions, regularly providing both financial and volunteer support across a number of key projects to enhance the experience for our Auskick families.
