QUEENSLAND NUMBER ONE FOR FEMALE PARTICIPATION
More than 51,000 Queensland women and girls strapped on the boots in 2014. With a 30% increase across all programs this was another big year in the female space. 30% of all Queensland participants are now female with a 140% increase over 3 years. We are seeing females pick the game up at a super-fast pace, proving Australian football really is the game for everyone.

• 1,800+ registered club participants in dedicated female competitions.

FEMALE PARTICIPATION
• 74 teams across 11 leagues
• New Mackay and Townsville leagues were a big hit and are now fully integrated into home-and- away seasons.
• In SEQ the Introduction of the QWAFL state league helped raise the profile and professionalism of female football while the introduction of the QWAFA provided opportunities for beginners and players looking for a more social game.
