COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Queensland celebrated Multicultural Round
at community football level with a number of clubs wearing orange laces in their footy boots
to raise awareness of multiculturalism in our sport. Another highlight included members of the Toowoomba Sudanese community attending the Lions v SUNS game at the Gabba, participating
in half-time activities and spending time with a number of Lions players.
AFL Queensland was also actively involved in community engagement activity via our regional network at key events such as Africa Day, Lantern Parade Walk and Harmony Day.
