Efforts should be made to apply for grants
to complete minor facilities projects at least once each year and we encourage clubs with prospective projects to discuss their plans with AFL Queensland to find out how we can assist.
Lastly, it was another successful year for our Queensland Sports Turf unit, which manages turf maintenance at a large number of facilities across South-East Queensland. The crew constructed three new ovals for local clubs and improved the standard of many others. We also purchased
new top-dressing and aerating machines that will enhance our service delivery for customers in 2015. We are always seeking turf management opportunities and welcome discussion with clubs seeking to develop their green spaces in 2014.
