MATTHEW HAMMELMANN (BRISBANE LIONS)
An AIS-AFL Academy member this season, Hammelmann has shaped as a key forward prospect for a number of seasons. The Morningside junior didn’t display the consistency he might have liked through the season, but 10 goals over the three National Championships matches was a crucial high point in his season. Reads the play well and is a strong mark.
TOM FIELDS (CARLTON)
Gold Coaster, Fields, was selected by Carlton in the rookie draft. The former Labrador defender was impressive in the NEAFL in 2011 and 2012
before plying his trade in the SANFL for South Adeiaide. Fields played 20 games for South Adelaide in 2014.
ANDREW RAINES (GOLD COAST)
Andrew Raines’ career has come full circle, with the veteran midfielder headed to the SUNS. Raines played six seasons at the Richmond Tigers, playing 56 games at Punt Rd, before being traded to Brisbane. Raines developed into a tagging role at the Lions, playing 67 matches in five seasons with Brisbane. After being delisted by the Lions at the end of the 2014 season, Raines was selected by the SUNS.
