The major step forward in 2014 in for the Brisbane Lions and Gold Coast SUNS Academy programs has been achieving the correct staffing model with the necessary human and financial support to create a high performance learning environment that compliments the State Academy Program.
Both academies having full-time coaches and managers has allowed the introduction of individual player plans that focus on developing each individual to his full potential.
The academy coaches work closely with State High Performance Coach Adrian Fletcher in developing the plans and, more importantly, making sure the attention to detail in the individual training sessions are structured in a manner to fast track improvement.
