OVERVIEW
More than 210 players involved through the 2014 season, with more than 200 sessions including football, fitness testing, games and high performance sessions.
Three full-time staff, 12 development coaches and eight support staff.
TALENT ID
Thirty-five players were added to the Brisbane Lions Academy Squads from Talent ID initiatives in 2014, with 18 from the Future Stars program, for boys aged 12 and 13 who have experience in Australian Football. Twelve athletes were added to Academy squads from the Rookie Search Program, for athletes who have no Australian Football background and five players from the Lions Academy Annual Talent ID camp.

HYUNDAI BRISBANE
LIONS Seventeen Lions Academy players in the initial 35-man U16 state team squad.
ACADEMY
U14
Thirty-eight Academy players included in regional AFLQ U14 teams, with nine additional new players identified to join the Academy from the State U14 championships.
U15
Queensland finished second in the U15 schoolboys championships, with
all of our Academy boys playing an important role. Tom Fullarton, Connor Ballenden, Jack Clayton, Bayden Goff and Brendan Shelton were all named All-Australians after he championships.
U16
Jacob Allison included in the AFL National Academy Level One squad after the completion of the championships, in which Queensland finished Division Two runners-up.
U18
Starting with a testing session in October of 2013, the U18 Academy squad began training in November, winning both pre-season games against the SUNS Academy, continuing a three –year undefeated streak.
Twenty-two of 33 players included in state U18 squad, with Ben Keays named Queensland MVP, U18 All-Australian and included in the AFL National Academy Level Two.
Thirty players played with the Lions reserves in the NEAFL competition this season.
DRAFTEES
Three Brisbane Lions Academy graduates were drafted this season, with Liam Dawson and Harris Andrews selected by the Lions under the AFL bidding system, while Matthew Hammelmann was selected by the Lions as a priority rookie.
