P. 42
The 2015 AFL Premiership Season was a di icult year for the Gold Coast SUNS, but in more ways than one, it also shapes to be one of the most defining in the club’s history.
Only time will tell how impo ant this year will be for the team’s growth, but club leaders believe the club has taken some significant
steps forward and put the right measures in place to achieved sustained success for years to come.
A cursed run of injuries to key personnel, and a need to improve professional player standards, saw the Gold Coast SUNS restricted to four won games and a draw in
2015. However, the e o in the final 12 games for the year is deserved of recognition, with a significantly undermanned senior team showing tremendous fight.
There were plenty of positives to take from the season though.
The unea hing of Touk Miller and Adam Saad should give plenty of SUNS fans reason to be excited next season, while the continued improvement of Aaron Hall, Alex Sexton and Jesse Lonergan fu her strengthened the depth across the club’s playing depth.
