PARTICIPATION NUMBERS:
✏ Brisbane North recorded a growth of 11.02% in participation for 2013. After
a quiet start to the year and Auskick numbers skyrocketed to a phenomenal 4013 participants for the year. Another significant growth area was across our AFL9s competitions and AASC programs. The breakdown is as follows:
✎ Auskick – 3,667 ð 4013 (increased 9.4%)
✎ Schools – 13,053 ð 14,040 (increased 7%)
✎ Club – 2,897 ð 3,082 (increased 6.4%)
✎ Social – 912 ð 1,656 (increased 81.6%)
HIGHLIGHTS / MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS:
✏ Expansion of Brisbane North region to include part of Brisbane West. Consists of 4 hubs: Moreton Bay North, Moreton Bay South, Inner North and North West.
✏ State record for participation at a School Auskick Centre, with 183 children participating at Wilston State School.
✏ Inaugural Brisbane North Kinderkick program at St Paul’s (Bald Hills) held with 72 participants.
✏ Multicultural and Indigenous Combine Testing Days held at Kedron SHS, Redcliffe SHS, Aspley SHS, Pine Rivers SHS
✏ LEAP program held at Pine Rivers for 100 kids with indigenous backgrounds. Gala day held at Club on 27th March.
✏ Involvement of Taigum SS and St Mary of the Cross in the inaugural Multicultural Schools Cup.
✏ 165 participants attended the Brisbane North School Holiday camp.
✏ Pilot Program: Auskick Summer Competition at Redcliffe JAFC (40 participants)
✏ Delivered first ever Disability Inclusion Gala Day – 50 participants from 2 schools.
✏ Delivery of disability programs at Hercules Road SS, Red Hill SS, Woody Point Special School, Aspley Special School, Deception Bay Flexible Learning Centre, Undurba SS and Dakabin SHS
✏ Increased uptake of schools purchasing Auskick and development of the Gold Auskick Sponsorship proposal.
✏ Continued partnership with Geebung State School delivering clinics for 2 groups (72 participants) of Japanese exchange students from Ritsumeikan Junior High School, Japan and their buddies from the school.
