MULTICULTURAL COMMUNITY AMBASSDORS:
The Multicultural Community Ambassador Program expanded in 2015 to 35 Ambassadors across the State compared to seven in 2014.
Geo  Palmer from Yeronga
State High School, Brisbane, won Queensland’s State award and went on to win the National Multicultural Ambassador Award.
Geo  was rewarded with a trip to Pe h to watch the Fremantle v Hawthorn Preliminary Final at Domain Stadium.
BACHAR HOULI CUP
In 2015 AFL Queensland continued its engagement with Islamic schools through the Bachar Houli Cup. 310 pa icipants from four schools: the Islamic College of Brisbane, Australian International Islamic College (Durack), Milpera SHS and Australian International Islamic College (Gold Coast)
took pa  in a six week program, culminating in a carnival that was held at Yeronga, with four boys teams and four girls teams pa icipating.
MULTICULTURAL AFL9S: INTERNATIONAL COLLEGES CUP
AFL Queensland delivered the inaugural International Colleges Multicultural AFL 9s competition
in 2015. 73 pa icipants from four colleges; Queensland University of Technology, Education First, Gri ith University and Southbank TAFE took pa  in a three week program, culminating in a carnival that was held at Yeronga with multicultural students ge ing the oppo unity to play against pa icipants from Polynesian, African, Asian and Middle Eastern backgrounds. The International Colleges Cup was aligned with the AFL’s Multicultural Round to celebrate diversity in Australian Football.
