QUEENSLANDERS DRAFTED FOR THE EXHIBITION MATCHES
TAYLA HARRIS
The only Queenslander in Demons colours this year, Harris recorded
a game high six marks, and was excellent with her disposal in game one. She played a more versatile role in the second game, going into the ruck, but also playing at both ends of the ground when required, giving Melbourne a lot of flexibility.
EMMA ZIELKE
Zielke was a bit down on her lo y standards in the first game, but worked her way into the game
late in the piece. She moved to a half-back flank in the second game, and was involved a lot more, and provided the Bulldogs with a lot of run, and using it well.
JORDAN ZANCHETTA
Zanche a, who played in the first game, had limited oppo unities playing as a small forward, in a game that was played mostly in the middle, but looked dangerous when the ball was in the forward line.
EMILY BATES
Bates announced her arrival on the big stage in game one, and backed it up in game two. In a breakout pe ormance, she provided the Bulldogs with a lot of outside run from the wing and half-back. In the second, showed she belongs on the big stage with some fantastic contested work and high e iciency.
LEAH KASLAR
In the first game, Kaslar was outstanding defensively on Chelsea Randall. Her lockdown role kept Randall to four touches and no goals, named in the best six for
the game. Unfo unately, Kaslar carried a hip injury into the second game, which had a big impact on her movement, and restricted her defensive ability.
TAHLIA RANDALL
A er being called into the Bulldogs team for the second game, and a slightly nervous sta , Randall swung the momentum of the game around when she was put in the ruck just before half time. She gave the Bulldogs mids first use, palming the ball down her midfield group superbly.
